We were close and just had to see what it looked like in the Fall! It was beautiful!! Also had the opportunity to visit with the Sposs's - great people! I spent every summer as a child right next door in the log cabin owned by my grandfather Jay DePuy. My dad, Ned DePuy, built the "newer" cabin across the road...Way back then, my grandfather, Jay Depuy, owned the land above Menkhaven where the entrance road is located. He made a deal with the Menke sisters to give them title to that strip of land if they would provide dinner every summer for he and his family. We ate well for years all summer long! The place looks great! Hope to see it again someday.....and maybe get a free dinner??

Sunday, 28 June 2009 Dan_ Peggy Currie : Colorados nicest placeWe have come to Menkhaven for about 16 years. We have seen the ups and downs. With John & Linda having ownership, I think it will be better than ever. With get togethers, and fellowship, it does not get any better than Menkhaven.
